David Adedeji Adeleke, known by his stage name Davido, was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He is the second son and youngest of five siblings born to Mr. and Mrs. Adedeji Adeleke. Despite being born in the United States, Davido spent most of his formative years in Lagos, Nigeria, where he attended the British International School for his secondary education.
Davido’s musical journey began at a young age, influenced by his late mother’s love for entertainment. He started making music at the age of 11 and has been passionate about it ever since. He developed his skills while traveling between the USA, the UK, and Nigeria, experiencing different cultures but always staying true to his roots.
He further pursued his studies in Business Administration at Oakwood University in Alabama, USA. However, his passion for music led him to prioritize his musical aspirations over formal education, a decision that led him to drop out of school and face his musical passion, which initially met resistance from his family. Education was important to Davido’s family, and despite his burgeoning music career, he was compelled by his family to pursue a degree in Business Administration at Babcock University in Ogun State, Nigeria. He graduated in 2015, balancing his academic pursuits with his musical ambitions.
In 2011, Davido released his debut single, “Back When,” featuring Naeto C, which gained widespread attention and marked the beginning of his rise to fame. He went on to release his debut album, “Omo Baba Olowo,” in 2012, which featured hit tracks like “Dami Duro” and solidified his status as a star in the Nigerian music industry.
Since then, Davido has continued to release chart-topping singles and albums, earning him numerous accolades and awards. He founded his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), in 2016, and has signed several successful artists under the label.
His unique blend of Afrobeat rhythms and catchy melodies has garnered him a massive fan base both in Nigeria and internationally.

After that tough time, Davido and Chioma had twin boys, Taiwo and Kehinde David, in the United States in October 2023. They celebrated with a naming ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, in November 2023.
Apart from the twins, Davido has three other kids from before. His first daughter, Imade Adeleke, was born to Sophia Momodu in 2015. He also has a daughter named Hailey Adeleke with Amanda, born in 2017. Larissa London is the mom of his son, Dawson, born in 2020.

Davido’s Net worth
Davido’s net worth is truly staggering, sitting at an impressive $400 million. But how did he amass such wealth? Well, it’s a combination of inherited assets and his own entrepreneurial ventures.
Born into a wealthy and influential family in Nigeria, Davido inherited a substantial amount of money and assets. His family’s real estate holdings, including 12 apartments, 3 villas, and a mansion in Abuja, contribute significantly to his net worth. Additionally, his family is one of the largest landowners in Africa, with Davido himself owning approximately 10,000 acres of land in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.
However, Davido isn’t solely reliant on inherited wealth. He’s a savvy businessman in his own right, running successful ventures across various industries. His music, which generates an estimated $250 million in gross sales, concert ticket sales, and merchandising, is a major contributor to his wealth. Beyond music, Davido has ventured into fashion with his sneaker and clothing line, generating roughly $120 million in annual revenues.
But that’s not all. Davido also runs a luxury car rental business in Europe and has investments in a private jet business and an AI startup based in Mumbai, India. These ventures add to his already impressive net worth.
