Steps on how to make a Podcast on Apple

Before we talk about the steps, you must know that the RSS feed is all that is needed to make your podcast enlisted on Apple Podcast.

And in order to have an RSS feed you need to have at least one episode uploaded, and this can even be your podcast trailer.

Step 1. Sign up on a Hosting Site.

Now you need to wait a few minutes for the show to populate.

“A lot of people think that they are done at this step, but Apple is actually just retrieving the data from your RSS feed.

After a few minutes, refresh the page and all of your content should be there. Fill out all of the required information on the page, click save and click submit.

Now Apple will review your show manually and you’ll receive an email once it’s approved, but this can take up to 72 hours.

Many other directories and listening platforms use Apple Podcasts as their source of information.

So that means that once your show is up on Apple Podcasts, you’ll also see it show up on apps like Overcast and Castbox.

Apple will review these requests manually so you want to make sure that you have a really compelling description of your show and your episodes for a better chance of being featured.

Now, there are a few things that Apple has done in order to improve the experience for podcasters.

Something big that they’ve done recently is improved their analytics. This is huge for podcasters because it’s notoriously difficult to get a breakdown of your listeners.
